“Shoo-fly”

Vivian Kirkfield’s #50 Precious Words Writing Challenge.

Zigzagging through summer air,
You dive in my curly hair.
In my cup, on my food—
Small, black, and really rude.
Now you buzz in my ear,
“Shoo, fly—get out of here!”
You don’t listen; I take a stand.
Now you’re smeared upon my hand.
Gross!
